Plot Course

This puzzle is a Hidato puzzle and the description of the course you need to plot gives you the index number of eight stars as well as telling you the rules. The part after the decimal point is the month number indicated by the two of the numbers being 10 and 12, and the text which talks about months which correspond to those values.

The last instruction says to take a second look. Reading the second letters along the path spells SKIP STARS WITH COMPOSITE POSITIONS THEN INDEX MONTH. Reading only the prime numbers and indexing spells A PRIME DIRECTIVE.
