M Markover
A markup tool for any puzzle
This puzzle page uses Markover which allows you to mark over (on top of) web
pages, with lines, text, and other marks. To use it, click on the Markover
button when you see it in the upper right corner of any page.
Some pages support interactive editing and Markover complements that. If you
find that you can’t mark up some area of the page, that’s because
it’s outside the content area or has been excluded from marking by the
author. (That’s because marks you add might might interfere with the
page’s interactivity and that’s particularly true of text
highlights.)
Markover saves the marks you draw to browser local storage or syncs them to the
server if the page supports synchronization. If you leave the page and return
later or refresh the page, the marks will persist. (Save is disabled on
this help page.)
This page is Markover-enabled so try it out!
Read on to learn what each tool does.
-
-
The line tool lets you draw lines in one of eight colors.
-
-
The rectangle tool lets you draw rectangles.
-
-
The text tool inserts a text box wherever you click. You can edit the text later.
-
-
The highlighter lets you select text and highlight it with one of seven colors.
If you highlight already highlighted text, the previous highlight color is replaced.
-
-
The stamp tool lets you put “stamps” on the page. You can choose
from a checkmark, an X mark, a question mark, a not sign, four kinds of stars,
and a heart (see below).
-
-
The drag tool lets you move marks around on the page (except for highlights).
-
- The paint tool lets you change the color of marks. You can’t
change the color of stamps.
-
- The eraser tool lets you delete marks. When you move the mouse over
them, marks highlight with the eraser color so you can tell which mark
you’re deleting if there are several close to each other. Hold down
control and shift when clicking the eraser tool to delete all marks. (Warning:
there is no undo and if marks are being synchronized then they will be deleted
for all users.)
-
- Closes the toolbar. When no tool is selected or the toolbar is closed,
you can still edit text marks by clicking on them. Other marks do not respond to
clicking them.
